Step 1: Add all items into the cart.
Step 2: Click on “Pay”
Step 3: If the total sales amount is being paid by card, click on “Exact Card”.
**If the total sales amount is being partially paid by card, click “Enter Card” and type in the amount the customer will be paying by card.
Step 4: Click on “Confirm”
Step 5: You will now notice that the swiper says “Please Swipe card”. Go ahead and swipe the customer’s card.
Step 6: After swiping the card, you will notice that the swiper prompts the user to indicate if the customer is paying via “debit” or “credit”. Press the “credit” button.
Step 7: Verify that the amount indicated on the swiper is correct by pressing the middle arrow button. (right below where it says “Yes”)
Step 8: Have the customer sign on the screen. Next, press “enter”. (Green arrow button)
Step 9: Confirm the signature on your POS screen by clicking on the “Confirm Signature” button.
The magtek should display an “Approved” message if the payment was processed successfully.
You will also see the confirmation message below in the POS screen. It will display the receipt number and give you an option to print or send via email.
