Troubleshooting Guide: iPad Credit Card Processing

There are a couple of things to check before swiping credit card on your ipad.

 

    1. Install the Swiper

      • Before you plug in the swiper, please turn the volume on the iPad all the way up

      • Wait a few moments to let the swiper charge its internal battery

      • When you initially plug in the swiper make sure you hear a small click to ensure it is plugged in properly.(If there is a case on the iPad please take it off to ensure proper connection.)

      • Verify the Volume is still all the way up

  1. Settings > Privacy

    Location Services & the Microphone

    • Under Location Services Please make sure it is on for the “POS” App

    • Under the Microphone option, make sure it is on for the “POS” appimage_5.jpg

     

  2. Troubleshooting

  3. Once all of that is set up, you are free to swipe! Lets say the swiping for some reason does not work after these steps. There are a couple of things you can do to troubleshoot this issue.

      • Toggle Location Services On & Off.

     

    • Close out the app.

      1. Double press the Home Button on the Ipad(Button with a square) After double pressing you should see this screen

      2. Touch the thumbnail of the app and slide your finger north. The screen should look like thisimage_1.jpg
